It is just the date they picked, and that is OK with them.
That's not exactly true. The catholics didn't just pick that date, they stole it from an ancient pagan religion but that's a conversation for another thread.
the jws are correct in their opposition concerning the xmas holiday and that there is evidence both scriptural and ancedotal that jesus was not born in the dead of winter on dec. 25.. but what i don't get is why do they go along with a crucifixion memorial which coincides with the time of moses passover?
is there any real proof that jesus was crucified at this particular time period?.
yeah, i know about the legend that passover was "foreshadowing" the ultimate sacrifice of the lamb.....but this is contrived information.. where is the proof that jesus was crucified at passover?

from the book of enoch: book of noah: .
1 and in those days, noah saw the earth had tilted and that it's destruction was near.".
there were also other observations that the laws of nature were suspended.
That book is full of nonsenses and idiocy absurdities. I translated whole Book of Enoch, and believe me, there is nothing vlauable in it.
You know Aramaic? I get the feeling you're referring to the fake Slavic Book Of Enoch and not the one from the dead sea scrolls.
P.S. Jude really doesn't quote from The Book of Enoch
Enoch 1:9 And behold! He cometh with ten thousands of His holy ones. To execute judgment upon all, and to destroy all the ungodly; And to convict all flesh of all the works of their ungodliness which they have ungodly committed, and of all the hard things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.
Jude 1:14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, 15To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
Unless Jude spoke to Enoch face to face, he has to be quoting from the Book Of Enoch.
i think maybe they changed their mind on it, and since it happened, was too late to take credit?
in the book, thy kingdom come 1898 is an entire chapter on the restoration of israel.
they were expecting physical israel to be restored.
Blimey Blue Grass, do you mean to say that those experts of exegesis who come on here from time to time and prove by numerology that Israel's establishment circa 1948 fulfills bible prophecy, are WRONG ?
That's exactly what I'm saying.

Israel was never restored. Non of the people who live in Palestine today are descendants from the Israelites of the Bible and are foreigners from Europe. Most of those Europeans in Palestine don't even believe in the God of the Bible. I don't see how you can say a nation was restored when it's occupied by foreigners.

The temperatures of the springs changed; rivers of fire flowed down through the valleys. Places on earth that were once cold, grew warm; and places that were usually warm became cold. When the rains began to fall, the waters passed through hell before it fell to earth and hot rain scalded the sinners. The reason certain animals were deemed 'unclean' was because there were many creatures created by the fallen angels that were experiments of miscegenation. Not only did the human species cross lines with aliens (angels) but animals crossed genetic boundaries as well. This is believed to have come about due to these experimentations. Before the flood the number of genetically altered 'unclean' animals outnumbered the clean.WT
It should be noted that none of this information is found in the Book Of Enoch that is among the dead sea scrolls and is only contained in later copies in other languages.
"you were a much nicer person when you were in the truth!
since you havn't been to the meetings your starting to change.
your so into standing up for yourself like you think its a good thing!!?!
I replied why should i just take it when someone is nasty?
Becuase that's what Jesus did.
please forgive my ignorance, but what is contained in a "blood card?
" i am sure it has something to do with the whole not accepting blood policy.
apparently there are two names with contact numbers on it.
I was never given a blood card when I was baptized so I couldn't tell you.
Me: "Well, then why didn't Jehovah destroy Noah and his family and leave the other millions and millions of people alive who believed differently than Noah did? Wasn't that proof that those other 8 guys were all wrong, then?"
Uh,ok. Apparently I'm the only one who don't understand this argument so I'm going to request you explain this statement because I don't get it.
sorry if i'm late on this........... http://allhiphop.com/stories/alternatives/archive/2010/02/16/22125881.aspx.
allhiphop.com: what scares you the most?.
omarion: i am not afraid of anything.
Sorry, kiddo, your "I'm liberal" racial shaming pass isn't redeemable here.
I have not the slightest clue of what you mean by this statement.
Never in my life have I ever heard anyone being accused of being white for "critical" thinking. I have no idea what type of friends you hang around but they are very unique for all the wrong reasons.
Also I still don't know the definition of "black culture". Jamacians, Hatians, Nigerians, Ethopians, Somalians, etc. all have different cultures, yet they're all "black", so how can you say there's a "black culture"?
christians: is military service wrong?.
imho, there are times when individuals/famlies/communities/states/nations must take up arms to defend themselves.
otherwise, they will cease to exist.. .
There are certainly specific engagements that we could point to and agree would be unjustified/wrong.
Wars are never justifible. You can make a case for World War 2, but even then the Americans ended during just as much evil as the axis by dropping 2 atomic bombs on innocent civilians who had nothing to do with the war. That doesn't sound very Christ like to me. Joining the military will only put a Christian in place to do bad, never good.
